Goal king, Udoh, signs for Ismaily

ojeksaikhoje.blogspot.com can reveal that Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) record top scorer and League Bloggers Awards (LBA) Player of the Season, Mfon Udoh, has joined top Egyptian side, Ismaily Sporting Club, on a four-and-a-half year deal.

Udoh scored a record 23 goals during the 2013/14 Glo Premier League season to emerge top scorer and erased the previous 20-goal mark set by Jude Aneke.

“Udoh and his representatives have agreed a deal with Ismaily. Interestingly, top officials of his club, Enyimba, have approved the deal”, a reliable source, who was part of the negotiating process, told
ojeksaikhoje.blogspot.com, on Monday.

ojeksaikhoje.blogspot.com reliably gathered that Enyimba will receive $500,000 from Ismaily SC, fondly called “The Yellow Dragons” for the services of the Nigerian International.

Udoh has three international caps against Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire as well as Yemen and scored his first goal for the Eagles in the friendly against Yemen.

After starting his career at lower division outfit, UNICEM Rovers, he moved to top flight campaigners, Akwa United, where he became the second player after Akarandut Orok to hit double digits.

A barren spell in his first season at Akwa United almost led to the cancellation of his contract, but Udoh mastered the trick in his second season with 15 goals before joining Enyimba, where he scored a record 23 goals and made history as the first player to scored 38 goals in two seasons, in Nigeria.

Belarusian side, Dynamo Minsk, Tunisian outfit, Club Africain and a Belgian side also approached representatives of the Nigerian International.
