Owu Sportswear, Nigeria’s leading sportswear producers will unveil its latest products for three top Nigeria Premier League sides at an impressive event, on February 13, in Lagos.

The clubs are Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), ABS and 2013 Caf Confederation Cup campaigners, Lobi Stars.

All three clubs will have jerseys for the 2012/2013 season which begins on February 16.

Supersport.com has been informed that Owu is already in its third year with the famous 3SC, while the brand is in its first year with the duo of ABS and Lobi Stars.

"We believe our products can become more innovative and we're doing this with the tradition of the clubs to enable them connect with their fans.

“The shirts also feature laser-cut ventilation holes to promote localised cooling and help regulate player temperatures during a match," CEO OWU Sportswear, Tunji Brown, told supersport.com.

Brown informed supersport.com that top stars from the clubs will be present to model the jerseys.

ABS all-time scorer, Abdulrahman Bashir, will model the club’s jersey, while Super Eagles fringe defender, Ezekiel Bassey, will be the model for Lobi Stars.

Nigerian internationals, Gbolahan Salami & Phillip Asuquo, will also be present to model the jersey for the famous Ibadan side.

OWU Sportswear will also use the event to launch its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes with the three clubs.

"A football club is nothing without the community in which it operates. Without people to support it and without fans to uphold traditions and create new ones.

"That's why we want to initiate CSR programmes with our partner clubs to boost support for them in their immediate communities," Brown said to supersport.com.

As part of its CSR initiatives, the sportswear brand partnered Friends Africa alongside, Coca-Cola and Access Bank amongst others to celebrate World AIDS Day, on December 1, 2012.

It's the first time an indigenous brand will initiative CSR programmes in the NPL.

OWU Sportswear won the Best Designed Jersey category at the inaugural League Bloggers Awards (LBA) in Lagos last year.
