Baribote makes history

Nembe Chief, Victor Rumson Baribote finally lost the plum job as Nigeria Premier League supremo and enters the history books as the first chairman to be sacked by the Congress.

Baribote tried to save his job, but his efforts yielded no dividend.

A late attempt to postpone the Congress failed after stepping aside.

The NPL Congress sacked the entire board for the second time in less than one week.

Expelled Club, Ocean Boys were also admitted to the second tier of the Ngerian football as the congress claimed that they were victims of a poorly managed League under Baribote.

With his exit, Baribote has also lost his position as second vice-chairman of the Football House.
