Ifeanyi Ede

The trio of Bobby Sokari, Musa Najare and Ifeanyi Ede head into Sunday’s 2013 Federation Cup final with a chance of making Cup history as highest goal scorer.

Enyimba’s Sokari and Warri Wolves’ Musa Najare have scored four goal each, while Nigerian International, Ifeanyi Ede, who is also with Enyimba has scored three goals.

Akwa Starlets’ Utibe Archibong and Gombe United’s Cyril Olisemah have also scored four goals each, but their teams have since exited the competition.
In fact, Olisemah made Cup history with four goals in their Round of 62 clash against Bussdor.

ojeksaikhoje.blogspot.com profiles the trio who are likely to be decorated with the Golden Boot in Sunday’s 68th final of Nigeria’s Cup competition, now called the Federation Cup.

Bobby Sokari: Enyimba
It’s been an amazing season for Sokari, who started the campaign as a rookie, fresh from grassroots football.

Interestingly, he fought his way into the star-studded Enyimba squad and contributed his share of goals to emerge amongst the revelations of the season.
Sokari scored one goal each from the Round of 62 through quarter-finals and failed to increase his tally in the semi-finals.

Musa Najare (Warri Wolves)
Top flight experience at Enugu Rangers at Akwa United has prepared Musa Najare for the big task ahead.

It’s his first Cup final and the forward is set to maximize the opportunities to emerge goal king.

Najare started his goal haul in the Round of 32 against lower division side, Spotlite and has scored in consecutive matches in the Round of 16 and quarter-finals.
A brace against highly rated Kano Pillars in the last eight was just a reminder of his quality.

Ifeanyi Ede

Since his return to Enyimba from a botched move abroad, Ifeanyi Ede has settled down to the business of goal scoring as a striker.
With several strikers ruled out of the competition, Ede is the man to get the task of breaking the Warri Wolves defence on match day.

With a brace against Police Machine and one goal against Lobi Stars, Ede knows he’s close to becoming a Cup legend.
